Principle

These pages can be used without any registration. There are no guest accounts and no forms collecting personal data. The pages set no cookies during normal use.

Server logs

When you access these pages, our server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, page accessed, data volume, browser type. These logs serve operational security and error analysis and are deleted after no more than 14 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Hosting is provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen, Germany (servers located in the EU) under a data processing agreement.

Audience measurement (Matomo, cookieless)

We measure the use of these pages with the self-hosted software Matomo on our own server (stats.hoteltec.at):

• No cookies are set.
• Your IP address is immediately truncated by the last two octets (e.g. 213.153.x.x) and never stored in full.
• No user identifiers are assigned; there is no tracking across visits or other websites.
• Your browser's "Do Not Track" setting is respected.
• Raw data is deleted after 13 months.
• The data never leaves our server and is not shared with third parties.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in statistical analysis to improve this service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Consent is not required as no cookies are set and no user profiles are created. You may nevertheless object to being counted at any time using the switch at the end of this page. If you object, a single cookie is set that stores nothing but your choice.

Third-party content

The "Region" page loads images from third-party servers:

• event images from Zell am See-Kaprun Tourismus GmbH
• webcam images from foto-webcam.eu

When these images are loaded, the respective provider receives your IP address; this is technically necessary to display them. The snow report of Zell am See-Kaprun Tourismus GmbH is only loaded after you explicitly tap it. External websites (e.g. cable cars, timetables) are opened as links only — the privacy policy of the respective provider then applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). As we cannot identify you through these pages, we are generally unable to attribute individual page views to a person. Please direct requests to the address above.
